People’s Emergency Briefing Screening
Society Building is hosting a series of People’s Emergency Briefing screenings, bringing together policy, finance and design audiences to explore their role in responding to the climate and nature emergency. The film is based on the National Emergency Briefing in Westminster (featured by ITV, Channel 4 and The Times) with appearances from Chris Packham, Deborah Meaden, and a range of voices from across the UK.
Each screening will be hosted by Georgia Elliott-Smith of Elliott Wood and followed by a facilitated discussion on turning awareness into action.
The places, buildings and infrastructure we shape are central to how communities reduce emissions, adapt to change, protect nature and build resilience. The UK faces a growing climate and nature emergency, yet most people have never been fully briefed on what it means for our lives, our economy and our future. People’s Emergency Briefing’s sets out the risks facing the nation – and the credible, positive responses available – in a clear and accessible account designed for screenings across the UK.
